On January 14th 2011, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates announced that the United States Government would be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the beginning of the Vietnam War by recognizing the contributions of our Vietnam Veterans.
As the months progressed, we realized that no events were occurring or being planned so we at US WINGS® decided to honor our Vietnam Veterans by holding a free admission, VIETNAM 50TH ANNIVERSARY WELCOME HOME RALLY at our offices in Hudson Ohio the weekend of May 20th 2011 as shown in the photos at this link: http://www.uswings.com/viet50rally.asp
With the help of many volunteers, US Army Recruiting Command of Cleveland, Lt. Gen Robert Wagner US Army (Ret), Major Bill Willoughby US Army (Ret), VETERANS RADIO, and the FASTRAX Sky Diving team we were able to provide a weekend of recognition, reconciliation, and brotherhood to our Vietnam Veterans.
We plan on hosting a VETERANS APPRECIATION RALLY, free of charge, annually the third weekend of May. We are asking for your help. We do not want a monetary donation but rather we prefer the old fashioned American way: Help us sell more of our Leather Flight Jackets. We are an Ohio based, American manufacturer that believes "The more we do with you, the more we can do for Them."
